This event was certainly the highlight of the year.
LA started from nothing in February 2007 and has grown to a group
of well over 500 people just a year later and this was the party
to celebrate that achievement. We started with dinner upstairs at
Rootz for 53 people. This is the biggest dinner that we have organised.
Hats off to Rootz for getting the right food to the right people
on time ! We then went downstairs to the new Rootz Party bar to party
the night away. The music was provided by the Phunky Peas jazz band,
all the way from Delft, followed up by the world famous "DJ Rapper"
who took us through the rest of the night. It was one of those great
parties where everyone was on the dance floor, even those that don't
like to dance ! Standing at the bar was not an option. LA does many
things well, but we are proud of our parties and we can't wait until
the next one. Thanks to everyone that helped out... from the organisers,
the room decorators, the doormen, the poster people, DJ Rapper, the
Phunky Peas and Rootz themselves ! You all deserve a great big pat
on the back.
